Opps Forgot The Tourney

Talk about a screw up on Saturday. We totally forgot about the Lake Trout derby. I guess we should pay closer attention to the calender. We headed out of Forans around 9AM and set up in 14ft. of water just east of the marina. Not 5 minutes later I landed a nice brown on a perch pattern stick bait off a planer board. 20 minutes later lost a small bow on the same setup in 12ft of water. It slowed for a bit then Rob landed another small bow. The bite died for awhile so we pulled up and ran to 50 Point and I landed another small bow on my original setup. The winds picked up a bit so we headed back to Forans and Rob got another small bow. It was a beautiful day to be on the water for sure. Here is a few pics.
