The Strait Line Anglers Club successfully pulled off it's first Lake Erie Walleye Tournament on Sunday August 16th. Thanks to Steve Hardcastle for the use of his facility on the Grand River and Big thanks to the help we got from the club members and those that spread the word out there about our event. We were only able to attract 14 boats by the registration time that morning. We were told two other boats came too late and were unable to enter since we were out for blast off. So we are likely going to cap the tournament in 2010 to 20 Boats. 14 of which will be from this years field and the remaining 6 spots will be first come/first served upon the call out next year. Stay tuned. Our winner of the event is also an active Strait Line Anglers Club member David Viles whom fished with his son and also a friend. He had a little over 28 lbs with four fish and reported a great day with 10 walleyes in the boat and two other lost at the back of the boat.
